53808 had arrived at Alresford on the low-loader around 7.30 this morning and was propelled by diesel D8059 along to Ropley as soon as a passenger service had come in at 11.20. Our loco is seen below stood in the yard at Ropley next to BR Standard Class 4 No. 76017, built in 1953.
