In our latest online release of images from our extensive collection, we have added over 70 images taken at or near Evercreech New station – including no less than 34 pictures of double-headed express passenger services, mostly taken in the summer of 1956.
At this time, long-distance holiday expresses were at their peak, prior to the steady decline caused by the rise of overseas holiday travel.
All images are available in low resolution for immediate download and higher resolution versions are also available for personal use upon request.
The images in this latest release were all taken by the late David Milton and on which the Trust holds all rights.
