Our 1929-built Peckett – named ‘Kilmersdon’ after the colliery where the loco was originally based – is now at the ‘S&D at Midsomer Norton’ until the new year. The loco was pictured here on a Halloween event on Sunday 29 October. The engine will also be in use on Santa and New Year services.

‘Kilmersdon’ was the last steam locomotive to work the Somerset coalfield. Very appropriately, Midsomer Norton is just a few miles down the road from Kilmersdon village.
