LMS Stanier 8F No. 48706 is seen having arrived at Writhlington Colliery with the 11.55 Bath – Norton Hill Colliery empty wagon train. This train would be leaving some of its wagons at Writhlington. The train is standing on the main line behind Writhlington signalbox. Colliery sidings to the right. Monday 11 October 1965. Photo taken at 12.30 pm.
