Description

BR 4MT class 4-6-0 locomotive No. 75073 (built 1955) – with 82F shedplate – seen in wet conditions on an Up passenger service of five carriages and has just passed over the Bath Road viaduct in Shepton Mallet. The bridge number (81) can be seen on the parapet.

75073 is shown as being allocated to Templecombe from November 1962 until withdrawn in December 1965/January 1966 and this therefore provides a date range for the photo.
