A view of Ashcott & Meare station looking from the west through the level crossing to the platform (left side of track). The station building (nearest), station master’s house beyond, ground frame hut (immediately to right of gate) and stores hut (further right) can all be seen. Photo taken on Sunday 10 October 1965 at 5.15 pm.

Visible on higher resolution versions of the image are two ‘L. & S. W. R. BEWARE OF TRAINS’ signs with only ‘BEWARE OF TRAINS’ highlighted in red, and a ‘PRIVATE PATH’ sign. Detail of these signs can be seen in WSHSD_2015_41_200.
