Description

BR Standard Class 5 No. 73047 (built 1953, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate) is seen passing the Blandford Down Distant signal at Milldown with an Up (northbound) Pines Express service of at least nine carriages. No date is provided but the through services were diverted in 1962.

Allocation reports vary for 73047 but the loco is shown as being withdrawn in 1964.
