Description

BR Standard Class 4 No. 76027 (built 1953) and BR Standard Class 4 No. 76066 (built 1956) are pictured at the platforms at Bournemouth West station, both heading short passenger trains. On the right, 76066 shows route discs for Code 10 (Bournemouth to Salisbury via Wimborne).

76027 is shown as being allocated to Bournemouth from February/March 1962 until withdrawal in September/October 1965, and given that the Salisbury service ceased in May 1964, this may provide a date range for the photo. 76066 was allocated to Eastleigh and Salisbury for much of its life. Withdrawn in 1967.
