Description

BR Standard Class 9F No. 92001 (built 1954, with 82F shedplate) is pictured approaching Chilcompton station at the head of a Bradford-Bournemouth service of at least 10 carriages in 1962. A reporting code of 1O94 is displayed.

92001 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from May/June to October/November 1961 and again from June/July 1962 until the following September/October. Through services over the S&D were diverted from 10 September 1962 so this provides a timeframe for the photo.
