Description

BR Standard Class 9F No. 92245 (built 1958, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate) pictured on the 1O91 7.35 am Nottingham-Bournemouth service with the train emerging from the southern portal of the Chilcompton Down-side tunnel.

The Trust has a record of 92245 on this service on Saturday 14 July 1962, and this could well be the correct date.

Just visible on the smokebox door is a previously chalked-on, and now very much eroded, reporting code of 1O94 that had been applied earlier in the summer of 1962.

92245 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from May/June 1962 until the following September/October.
