Description

BR Standard Class 4 No. 75009 (built 1951, with 82G Templecombe shedplate) and Fowler 4F Class No. 44417 (built 1927) on the 1O92 Cleethorpes-Exmouth passenger service emerging from the Chilcompton Tunnels.

Note the 13¼ milepost [distance from Bath] just visible by the Down line, also the 30mph temporary speed restriction on the Up line. The latter indicates summer 1962 for the date of the photo – see WSHSD_2022_14_383.
