BR Standard Class 9F No. 92245 (built 1958, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate) pictured at the head of the 1O94 Bradford-Bournemouth service emerging from the Chilcompton Tunnels during 1962.

92245 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from May/June 1962 until the following September/October and this indicates that the photo was probably taken during the last few months of through service operation over the S&D. Through services were diverted as from September 1962.

Note the 13¼ milepost [distance from Bath] by the Down line, also the 30mph temporary speed restriction on the Up line.
