Description
Bulleid West Country Class No. 34042 Dorchester (built 1948) – with 71B (Bournemouth) shedplate – has just exited Cliff cutting in gloomy conditions with a southbound passenger service in 1960. Cliff bridge can be seen in the distance.
A reporting number of 389 is being displayed.
Cliff cutting was infilled in the ’80s and early ’90s but the North Dorset Trailway runs over the top of the infill. One of the parapets of the bridge still stands.
