Description

Fowler 4F Class No. 44559 (built 1922, formerly S&D No. 59 and LMS No. 4559) – with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate – heads a Down goods service near Cole. The train is approaching the Wyke Lane (No. 117) and Great Western Line (No. 118) underbridges. The Cole Down Distant signal is just behind the rear of the train.

44559 is shown as already allocated to Bath Green Park at nationalisation in 1948 and remaining there until withdrawal in early 1963.
