Description

BR Standard Class 5 No. 73054 (built 1954, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate) heads an 11-car Down Pines Express Manchester-Bournemouth service past Cole station. The station is just visible through one of the arches of the overbridge. The loco allocation, and the train being a through service, suggest that the photo was taken in 1961-2.

73054 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from March/April 1961 until withdrawal in August 1965.
