Description

In fine sunny weather, BR Standard Class 3 No. 82002 (built Swindon 1952) – with 82G (Templecombe) shedplate – is approaching Cole with an Up (northbound) passenger service with two carriages.

82002 is shown as being allocated to Templecombe from March/April 1961 until moved to Hereford in September/October 1962. This therefore suggests a date range for the photo. Allocations data suggests an intermediate move or loan but first-hand observations indicate the former scenario.
