Description

BR Standard Class 5 No. 73087 Linette (built 1955) is just approaching Corfe Mullen summit with the Down Pines Express. There is no date for this image.

However, 73087 is shown as being allocated or loaned to Bath Green Park every summer from 1956-61. Ted Goater reports that for several years, 73116 was also sent to Bath Green Park for the summer, but in 1961 it was just 73087.

A gradient marker can be seen to the left of the track and the ‘finger’ pointing towards the photographer says ‘LEVEL’.
