Description

BR Standard Class 4 No. 75023 (built 1953) stands in the centre road while an unidentified Class 4F is at the Up platform with a passenger service and Ivatt 2MT Class No. 41242 (built 1949) draws in to the Down platform with a passenger service of four carriages with a van in the middle.

75023 is shown as allocated to Templecombe from September/October 1961 until September/October 1962 and withdrawn in January 1966. 41242 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from new and then to Templecombe from April/May 1962 until withdrawal in April/May 1965. The photo is therefore most likely to date from summer 1962.
