Description

Bulleid West Country Class No. 34046 Braunton (built 1946) is approaching France Farm along the wide curve north of Milldown in very dull and gloomy conditions with an Up (Bath-bound) service. On the shedplate, the ’71’ from ’71B’ (Bournemouth) is clearly visible on the high res. image.

34046 is shown as allocated to Bournemouth from early 1959 until withdrawal in October 1965. No date is currently available for this image but through services were diverted away from the S&D in September 1962. 34046 was subsequently preserved.
