Description

BR Standard Class 5 No. 73054 (built 1954, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate) heads the Up Pines Express through an evocative snowy landscape. The train is approaching France Farm, between Blandford and Stourpaine.

73054 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from March/April 1961 until withdrawal in August 1965. Given that through services were diverted in September 1962, the loco allocation suggests that the photo was taken in the winter of 1961-2.
