Description

BR Standard Class 4 No. 76056 (built 1955) has just passed under the Hammoon road bridge with a three-carriage Up local passenger service.

The bridge has been demolished but the photographer’s location is now part of the North Dorset Trailway.

76056 is shown as being allocated to Eastleigh in November 1959, then moving to Bournemouth in the December, recoded in September 1963 and withdrawn in November 1965.

The shedplate appears to be missing. Given that there is greenery on the trees, this photo may have been taken just after the recoding.
