Description

Highlights include everyday workings on Sapperton Bank, the Britannia Bridge, at Honiton and Wickwar Tunnels, and specials range from the Southern’s  “Solent Limited”to the last day of the Midland and South Western Railway. Docksides feature prominently: Weymouth Quay, Bowaters at Sittingbourne and Avonmouth Docks show three different aspects. Shunting at Staveley, Royal Observer Corps at Bournemouth West, and beautiful engines at Becton and Exeter Gasworks make this a well rounded programme. Steam is also seen from the cab of the Bristol Pullman on the Bristol to London main line.
