Description

Fowler S&D 7F No. 53808 (built 1925 as S&D No. 88) heads the 9.08 am Birmingham New Street to Bournemouth West service with 10 carriages, reporting code 1O90 displayed, and is seen pounding up the final few hundred yards to Masbury summit.

Meanwhile Fowler 2P Class No. 40563 (built 1928) and Fowler S&D 7F No. 53810 (built 1925 as S&D No. 90) approach more cautiously with the 11.12 am Bournemouth-Sheffield service as the Binegar Up Distant signal ahead of them is ‘on’.
