Description

Running through the rock cutting just before the summit at Masbury, BR Standard Class 4 No. 75023 (built 1953, with 82G Templecombe shedplate) and BR Standard Class 9F No. 92233 (built 1958) are seen on a 12-car Up through service in 1962.

75023 is shown as allocated to Templecombe from September/October 1961 until September/October 1962 and withdrawn in January 1966. 92233 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from June/July 1962 until the following September/October. From the weather, foliage and allocations, this photo appears to date from summer 1962.
