Description

BR 4MT Class 4-6-0 locomotive No. 75073 (built 1955, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate) and Bulleid West Country Class No. 34042 Dorchester (built 1948) coast down-gradient through Midsomer Norton South with a through service of at least nine carriages. The signalman waves to the loco crews from an open window of his box.

75073 is shown as being allocated to Bath Green Park from 1957 until moved to Templecombe from November 1962 and was withdrawn in December 1965/January 1966. 34042 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park for a while in 1951, then moved to Bournemouth before returning to Bath in December 1951 until autumn 1954. The loco was withdrawn in September/October 1965.
