Ex-SR rebuilt Bulleid ‘West Country’ class 4-6-2 locomotive No. 34104 ‘Bere Alston’ (with 71A Eastleigh shedplate) 4.50pm Bournemouth West to Waterloo passenger train with SR headcode no. 14 (Waterloo and Brockenhurst & Bournemouth West, train reporting nos. 253 & 2), leaving Bournemouth with carriage sidings on left. Thursday 19 July 1962.

The train is heading up the now-dismantled east chord of the triangle.
