Description

Great Western Collett 2251 Class No. 2223 (built 1940) starts a two carriage (plus van) passenger service away from Pylle (Halt) in the direction of Highbridge. By the 1960s, Pylle was a lonely location for the traveller, averaging five passengers journeys a day.

There is currently no date available for this image.

2223 is shown as withdrawn in May 1962 without ever being allocated to an S&D shed – from autumn 1959, the loco was allocated to Ebbw Vale.
