Description

S&D 7F No. 53808 (originally S&D No. 88) with the (SO) Exmouth-Cleethorpes service of ten carriages passing over the Five Arches between Radstock and Midsomer Norton South. No date currently available for this image.

Withdrawn from service in 1964, the locomotive was rescued by the Trust in 1970 and subsequently restored; more information here.

Note the Radstock Up distant signal at the far side of the arches and the GWR Frome-Bristol line passing underneath.
