Description

BR Standard Class 9F No. 92001 (built 1954) heads the 11-car 8.40 am summer-Saturdays-only Bournemouth to Derby service over the Charlton Road viaduct in Shepton Mallet. A chalked-on reporting code of 1M66 is being displayed. An Up Home signal positioned on the viaduct can be seen behind the train on the high res. image.

Trust records show that 92001 hauled this service on 11 August 1962 but the records for this service in that summer are only partially complete.
