Description

Great Western Collett 2251 Class No. 2223 (built 1940), tender-first, hauling an Up passenger service out of Shillingstone past the signal box and goods yard in September 1960.

2223 is shown as withdrawn in May 1962 without ever being allocated to an S&D shed – from autumn 1959, the loco was allocated to Ebbw Vale.
