Description

Bulleid West Country Class No. 34105 Swanage (built 1950) passes through the cutting between Shillingstone and the Hammoon road bridge with what appears to be a through passenger service. The photo was probably taken in 1959 though this is not explicitly stated by the photographer.

Today, this location is part of the North Dorset Trailway.

34105 is shown as allocated to Bournemouth from new until 1964. Withdrawn shortly after.
