Fowler 2P Class No. 40601 (built 1928) is pictured north of Shillingstone with a 3-carriage southbound passenger service in 1958. The carriage set number starts with ’39’.

40601 is shown as already allocated to Bath Green Park upon nationalisation in 1948 and switching between Bath and Templecombe, finally staying at Bath from September/October 1955 until withdrawal in December 1959.
