Description

BR Standard Class 5 No. 73047 (built 1953) is seen north of Shillingstone with a long Up passenger service. The location of the photo is now part of the North Dorset Trailway.

Allocation reports vary for 73047 but Longworth records the loco as being allocated to Bath Green Park from 1955 until July 1964 and withdrawn later in 1964.
