Description

BR Standard Class 5 No. 73049 (built 1953) is seen north of Shillingstone together with an unidentified Class 5 headed for Sturminster Newton with an Up passenger service, almost certainly a through service, in 1959. The wire to the Shillingstone Down Distant signal can be seen on the far side of the track.

73049 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from 1955-1960 and from June/July 1962 until August-October 1964.
