Description

BR Standard Class 4 No. 76019 (built 1953) leaves Shillingstone with a three-carriage local passenger service, passing the Down Siding East. In the distance can be seen the vans at the rear of 73049’s train at the Up platform; see the previous two images. It is believed that the photo was taken in 1959, although not explicitly stated by the photographer.

76016 was allocated to Eastleigh for most of its life, though appears not to have a shedplate in this view.
