Description

While Stanier 5MT Class No. 45102 (built 1935) waits at the Up platform, BR Standard Class 4 No. 75007 (built 1951) arrives with a three-carriage Down passenger service at Shillingstone; the footplate crew are watching the tablet apparatus.

No date is given for this sequence of three images, however, the painted-on shed number on 75007 (82G) suggests that the loco has recently arrived for its short allocation to Templecombe – from March/April 1963 until August-October 1964. 45102 is shown as allocated to Derby or further north; withdrawn in 1965.
