Description

BR 4MT class 4-6-0 locomotive No. 75073 (built 1955) arrives at Shillingstone with an Up (Templecombe or Bath-bound) passenger service of at least four carriages.

This photo was taken in the year that Tony Richardson started his S&D photography and was at the closest station to his home which was at that time in Fontmell Magna.

75073 is shown as being allocated to Bath Green Park from 1957 until moved to Templecombe from November 1962 and was withdrawn in December 1965/January 1966.
