Description

BR Standard Class 3 No. 82039 (built Swindon 1955, with 82G Templecombe shedplate) is seen leaving Shillingstone with an Up passenger service in 1959. Note the unusual illuminated TRAP POINTS indicator on the left. More information on Shillingstone’s signalling by Chris Osment and the trap indicator specifically.

82039 is shown as being allocated to Templecombe from January/February 1959 until August/September 1960. 82039 was withdrawn in July 1965.
