Description

BR Standard Class 3 No. 82039 (built Swindon 1955) – with 82G (Templecombe) shedplate – is at the platform at Shillingstone with a passenger/milk service from Bailey Gate. The guard can be seen looking out from the first carriage.

82039 is shown as being allocated to Templecombe from January/February 1959 until August/September 1960. This therefore suggests a date range for the photo.
