Description

Ivatt 2MT Class No. 41243 (built 1949, with 82G Templecombe shedplate) draws into the platform at Sturminster Newton with a Down (Bournemouth-bound) passenger service. A group of passengers are waiting on the platform.

Also visible are the station building, scooter parked on the Up platform, station approach road, water tower and goods shed. Of interest at the far end of the station building are two covered areas, each with a bicycle visible. A larger cylindrical package sits on the Up platform, presumably waiting to be put aboard the next Up service.
