Description
This book, published by ourselves, gives a very easy to read story of the S&D and is aimed at those who never knew the S&D and who wish to find out more about it.
Starting with describing how the railways used to be a fundamental part of daily life, the book briefly recalls the history of the S&D before taking a ‘trip along the line’ looking at nearly all the stations. There follows a short section on what can be seen today and the book finishes with a look at the work of the Trust, originally founded in 1966, just before the S&D system closed.
Written by the late Jonathan Edwards and originally published in 2017, this is the third edition of this popular guide book with a completely updated photo selection.
