Description

Fowler S&D 7F No. 53810 (built 1925 as S&D No. 90) shunts at Wincanton. The loco has brought a train of wagons and a van from the Down line into the sidings, extending through the goods shed. A member of staff on the ground – who appears to be holding a shunting pole – is conversing with footplate crew.

Note the concrete-built store, built on stilts to deter rodents. The windows of the signal box are visible.
